Dashboard​

The Dashboard is your starting point in Line Budgeter. It provides a snapshot of your projects, along with news, updates, and quick access to key areas of the application.

Quick List​

When you first begin, this area displays a placeholder image until you create your first budget. An example budget is also included to help you explore the powerful features of Line Budgeter.

The Quick List contains three sections:

  • Recent
    Displays the 15 most recently opened budgets. You can also pin important budgets so they remain easily accessible.

  • Pinned
    Displays only budgets that you have pinned to the Dashboard.

  • Shared with Me
    Displays the most recent budget files shared with you by other users.

Newsblock​

The Newsblock displays informational cards featuring updates, announcements, tax incentive news, and other relevant information about Line Budgeter.

My Library​

The My Library section provides quick access to:

  • Project Library
    A file manager used to organize and manage your budget files.

  • Shared with Me
    Access budgets shared with you in a dedicated workspace.

  • Element Library
    Create, manage, and organize elements available across all your budgets.

  • Ratebooks
    Purchase and view ratebooks containing hiring information and regional rates. Ratebooks integrate directly into your budgets for faster rate entry.

Resources​

The Resources section provides quick access to:

  • Line Docs
    Opens the Line Budgeter Documentation site (you’re here now!), where you can browse Getting Started guides, User Guides, Keyboard Shortcuts, Release Notes, and support resources.

  • Incentive Library
    Coming soon. A comprehensive incentive library designed to complement the incentives available within Line Budgeter.

  • Support
    Direct access to our Support portal whenever you need assistance.

Application Updates​

When a new version of Line Budgeter is available, a notification will appear on the Dashboard.
When ready, click Update Now to install the update and launch the latest version.

Profile Switching​

Line Budgeter allows you to work with both:

  • Your personal Project Library
  • Shared Workspaces

These environments are separate. Use the Profile Switcher to move between them.

The Profile Switcher only appears if you have a personal Project Library and are a member of at least one Workspace.
