Project Library

The Project Library is where you manage your project folders and budget files. From here, you can also share budgets with other users, run budget reports without opening a file, and organize budgets as favorites.

Project Library

You can create new project folders and budgets directly from this screen by clicking the New Budget or New Project Folder buttons.

To open a project folder or budget file, double-click it.


Project Library Features

The sidebar allows you to quickly navigate between the Project Library, Starred Budgets, Recent Budgets, and Trash, as well as access budgets under Shared with Me. You can also jump to the Element Library, Ratebooks, or return to the Dashboard.

You can return to the root of the Project Library by clicking the Project Library button in the sidebar or by using the breadcrumb trail at the top of the screen.

Status Column

The Status column displays visual indicators showing whether a budget is pinned to the Dashboard or locked.

Show / Hide Budget Totals

The Project Library can display budget totals without requiring you to open a budget file.

The Total column shows each budget’s overall total.
Click the Eye button to toggle totals on or off.

Type / Show Code Column

The Type / Show Code column displays the project type associated with a budget and, when provided, the optional show code used for studio or accounting reference.

Sync Column

The Sync column displays visual indicators showing whether a budget is shared and/or it's storage status - either on the cloud server or your local database.

IconDescription
Cloud Sync IconCloud Budget – Indicates a budget is stored in the cloud and can be downloaded to your local computer.
Local Storage IconLocal Budget – Indicates a budget is stored locally as well as synced with the cloud.
Error IconError – Indicates an error with the syncing of this budget. Try restarting the application and if the issue continues, contact support.
Downloading IconDownloading – Displays when a budget is downloading to local storage.

Options Menu

Clicking on the 3-dot menu at the end of a project library budget row will display the Options menu.

Up to Topsheet This action is unavailable and disabled at the Topsheet level of the budget.

Flag Line
Assign a color-coded flag to visually organize and quickly identify budgets within your Project Library.

Open
Opens the selected budget so you can review or edit its contents.

Share
Opens the sharing panel where you can grant access, manage permissions, and invite collaborators to the selected budget.

Duplicate
Creates an exact copy of the selected budget, allowing you to reuse it as a starting point for a new version or project.

Print / PDF
Opens the Reports window to generate and export a PDF or printed report of the selected budget — without needing to open the file.

Star / Unstar Budget
Adds or removes the budget from your Starred list for quick access to frequently used or important files.

Pin / Unpin to Dashboard
Pins the budget to the Dashboard Quicklist for faster access, or removes it from the Quicklist if no longer needed.

Rename Budget
Updates the name of the selected budget file.

Edit Show Code
Modifies the show code associated with the selected budget.

Move
Transfers the selected budget to a different Project Folder for better organization.

Remove from Local Storage
Removes the locally stored version of the budget from your device without deleting it from the main system.

Move to Trash
Moves the selected budget to the Trash, where it can be restored or permanently deleted later.


Storage Indicator

Located in the lower-left corner of the sidebar, the Storage Indicator shows how much budget storage remains.

Note: Budgets in the Trash still count toward your total storage usage.

Trash

When projects or budgets are deleted, they are moved to the Trash for 30 days.

You can restore entire projects or individual budgets using the Options (three-dot) menu.

The Trash is automatically emptied every 30 days.
