Location Report

The Location Report splits your budget by location, with one block of costs per place. Use it to show a location manager, a local film commission, or a co-production partner exactly what's being spent where.

Locations come from your budget's elements (see Element Manager → Locations). A line shows up under a location only if that location is assigned to it.

Options

Choose Location Report as the type in step 1.

Included Locations

Expand All Locations and tick the locations you want. Each one is listed by code and name. Each ticked location prints as its own block, headed with the location name.

Report Section

  • Include Project Metrics: adds the cost-per-day, incentive and crew breakdown tables.
  • Include Location Summary: adds a single table comparing all the selected locations.
  • Include Tax & Fringe Summary: adds a tax and fringe breakdown for each location, with columns Name, Description, Rate, Unit, Incentivized, In Use and Total.

Account Summary

Adds a totals-only account listing. Use Include Minors Accounts and Include Sub Accounts to control how detailed it is.

Location Summary Options

  • Include Phases: splits the location summary by phase.
  • Include Day Types: splits the location summary by day type.

Included Transaction Types Lines in Report

This controls which kinds of lines count, based on each line's type:

TypeDefault
LaborOn
PurchasesOn
RentalsOn
AllowancesOn
DepositsOff

Untick a type to leave those lines out of the detail and remove its column from the summaries. For example, a labor-only location report is a common request from payroll.

Notes

  • The Location Report has no topsheet, so Show Total Summary on Topsheet and Display Fringe Summary as Account don't appear in Additional Options.
  • Lines with no location assigned aren't included. If the report total is lower than the budget total, look for unassigned lines.
