Toolbar
The application toolbar contains a set of default icon buttons that provide quick access to key features such as the Element Manager and Reports, as well as toggles for actions like enabling Edit Mode or Locking Budgets. You can customize the toolbar layout to fit your personal workflow.

Left Side of the Toolbar
The default layout for the left side of the toolbar includes the following icon buttons:

Elements – Opens the Element Manager. Defaults to Currency Table | |
Tax & Fringes – Opens the Tax and Fringe Element Table | |
Incentives – Opens the Incentives Element Table | |

Rate Entry Tool – Opens the Rate Entry Tool |
Right Side of the Toolbar
The default layout for the right side of the toolbar includes the following icon buttons:

![]() | Edit Mode – Toggles editing on or off for the currently open budget. |
| Show Amounts - Toggles monetary values visually on or off in the budget, allowing users to hide financial amounts when needed | |
Calendars – Opens the Calendar | |

Worksheet – Opens the Worksheet | |
ViewShift – Switches between Full View and Minimum View column layouts. Works on the Details level of the budget only | |
Preferences – Opens Preferences |
Shared Budgets
When a budget is shared, a Shared Budget label appears on the right side of the toolbar to indicate its shared status:

Customize Toolbar
“You can customize the toolbar to suit your preferences. To do so, go to View > Customize Toolbar in the application menus to open the customization modal.”

The toolbar can be customized to your liking. In addition to the default icons on the left and right sides, several additional tools are available for you to add as needed.

Display As
Choose to display either icons or text labels as buttons on the toolbar.

Reset Defaults
Restores the toolbar to its original default button layout.

Center of the Toolbar
The center of the toolbar displays the Name of the open budget along with a chevron icon that opens the Budget Action Menu. Clicking this icon reveals additional actions you can take related to the currently open budget.

The Budget Menu provides quick access to the following actions:
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| Rename Budget | Rename the currently open budget. |
| Duplicate Budget | Instantly duplicates your open budget, creating a copy and opening it for immediate use. |
| Go to Project | Opens the Project Library and navigates directly to the folder containing the open budget. |
| Pin Budget to Dashboard | Pins the current budget to the Quicklist on your Dashboard, keeping it easily accessible at all times. |
| Lock/Unlock Budget | Locks the budget to prevent any further edits. To unlock, return to this menu and select Unlock Budget. When a budget is locked, a lock icon will display next to the budget name to indicated Locked status:
